Mother's Day is May 10th!

Gift ideas from Stash!

Mother's Day is May 10th! Stash has the perfect gift for your fiber lovin' Momma! If she has more yarn than she can knit/crochet in a lifetime, how about a project bag to carry all that awesomeness:)

How about some nifty notions to go inside that cute little bag, or a pendant showing her favorite hobby. We also have Stash Gift Cards available for any amount!

If your mom just can't get enough yarn, we have beautiful skeins of hand dyed and handspun yarn from artists both local and national!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

With Mother's Day just a little over a week away, I thought I'd help with some gift ideas!  Here are a few of my favorites...
The perfect bag for carrying projects around!

If she is always looking for her notions, get her a handmade pouch to hold them and she will never loose another stitch marker again

I would love a few skeins of Manos Silk Blend, and I'm sure your Mom would too!

A yard of her favorite fabric would be perfect!

Handmade jewelry is a must have!  A needle case is a great gift to keep her needles organized.

Stash also has gift certificates available.

Sew Quick Holiday Gift Idea

The "Little Wallet" and "Project Bags" from Valorie Wells Designs are the perfect QUICK gift to make this year for anyone on your list.  They both use very little fabric, a great project for your scraps, and are super fast to sew.  The "Little Wallet" would make a great gift card holder and the "Project Bag" is perfect for filling with a special skein of yarn or a few fat quarters.

Quick Knit Holiday Gift Idea

Need a quick knit for a holiday gift?  Try the "Welted Fingerless Gloves"  from Churchmouse.  I love these patterns!  They are so well written and the photos by Jared Flood are amazing.  I cast on the first of the pair last night and knit one while watching a movie, and just finished the second one tonight.   The photo shows the gloves knit in Manos Silk, which I've used to make two pairs and love them, but any DK weight yarn will do.  This pattern is a great stash buster or a perfect special yarn project.

Take a break from Sunday Football and the holiday rush and join me anytime time this Sunday, December 5th from Noon - 4 pm to knit this adorable family of snowmen. This is a very quick knit and would make a great gift too!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

For the Knitter or Crocheter

Zauber Ball Sock yarn if sock knitting is what she likes, organic chunky cotton for the eco friendly knitter, or a skein of cashmere if luxury is what she likes.

This afghan book will get any knitter or crocheter inspired to make an afghan for everyone. Mother-Daughter knits is full of great patterns.

Grab her a set of handmade stitch markers...the sushi are my favorite.

For the Sewer

Create your own fat quarter bundle of all her favorite prints, Amy Butler's newest pattern The Sweet Harmony Bag, or a book with great patterns such as Sew Liberated or I Love Patchwork.
Other Great Crafting and Gift Ideas

Crafting books like Feltique for inspiration and great ideas for all felting, a sock monkey kit from Woolpets, or Jenny Hart's newest book Embroidered Effects.

Treat her feet, lips, and hands to Plum Island products.
