Sew Quick Holiday Gift Idea

The "Little Wallet" and "Project Bags" from Valorie Wells Designs are the perfect QUICK gift to make this year for anyone on your list.  They both use very little fabric, a great project for your scraps, and are super fast to sew.  The "Little Wallet" would make a great gift card holder and the "Project Bag" is perfect for filling with a special skein of yarn or a few fat quarters.

Quick Knit Holiday Gift Idea

Need a quick knit for a holiday gift?  Try the "Welted Fingerless Gloves"  from Churchmouse.  I love these patterns!  They are so well written and the photos by Jared Flood are amazing.  I cast on the first of the pair last night and knit one while watching a movie, and just finished the second one tonight.   The photo shows the gloves knit in Manos Silk, which I've used to make two pairs and love them, but any DK weight yarn will do.  This pattern is a great stash buster or a perfect special yarn project.

Take a break from Sunday Football and the holiday rush and join me anytime time this Sunday, December 5th from Noon - 4 pm to knit this adorable family of snowmen. This is a very quick knit and would make a great gift too!

This foot stool was salvaged by the very talented Nancy M.  Her choice of fabrics are the perfect match.  Nancy used Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow fabric.  Notice how she used appliqué to make the stool truly unique.  Do you like this foot stool?  Find more amazing salvaged items at Nancy's shop at The Barn right here in Downtown Castle Rock.  I'm sure you will recognize many fabrics she found at Stash.

A big THANKS! to Sandy for making these towels.  I love the little quotes.  Everytime I use them they make me smile :)  So, does it count as aerobic exercise if I knit fast enough?  I would like to believe it's true!

Crochet anyone?

I'm so excited about Patty Davis Design's Crochet Patterns.  Being new to crochet I'm finding many new and  fun patterns out there.  If you don't know already, I'm loving Amigurumi!  But these patterns are sure to inspire!  I just love the Baby Bomber Jacket and Crochet Jean Jacket.  My little guy may be just too big for the patterns, but I'm sure I can modify them to fit.  I'm going to try anyway!  Also, I'm loving the Anthro-inspired pillow patterns.  I had a chance to see the pillows in person and they are amazing.  Watch for a trunk show coming soon to Stash.

Berroco Vintage Chunky

Berroco's Vintage is a favorite here at Stash.  It's great for sweaters, kid's clothing, and throws.  Most, including me, like it because it's a washable wool blend and feels good to work with and wear.  I'm excited about all Berroco's newest yarns for fall, Vintage Chunky being one of them.  All the things we love about the original but in a chunky weight, with 14 sts and 24 rows on a US 10.  If you are not getting the newsletter from Berroco you should!  Just go to their website.  If you would like to view all the great patterns, watch this little video

I can't wait to start the next project. I just can't decide which one it should be. I may knit the Turkish Socks or maybe the Linen Stitch Scarf. Which is your favorite?
