Count Down to Christmas!

There are 43 days until Christmas day!  NO worries, I will post some great, quick, and awesome gift ideas here in the upcoming weeks and days!  Cowls are the perfect gift and every so popular right now.  I love cowls, and especially love this design, the Altounyan Cowl, by a very talented young lady named, Lily Kate France. "A crumply, rumply cowl, Altounyan is the perfect quick knit for a last minute gift."

2012 Yarn Along the Rockies

The first ever Yarn Along the Rockies is officially over and WOW! was it fun!  It was great to see so many faces, both new and familiar.   Everyone had such a great time, and the stories are still being told.  I believe there were around 500+ people "crawling" around the Front Range enjoying fiber, friends, and new experiences.  For me this was a great experience in so many ways, the best was all the happy faces that came through the door, also it was amazing to get to meet all the shop owners around the area and band together and form a sort of sisterhood of women with the same goal in mind:  provide a place for knitters/crochters/weavers/spinners to come and be a part of something awesome.  I can't wait for next year. Yes, that's right we will be making this a yearly event!  If you are a planner, it should be at the same time as this year's crawl.   I'm sure your LYS will keep you posted, or you can stay up to date on the Yarn Along the Rockies web site.  Join the crawl Ravlery page and share your stash you picked up along the way and the projects you have made with your new yarn.
Below are a few pictures from the crawl.  A great big CONGRATS to all the winners of the prize baskets!

Linda Permann Book Signing!

Linda Permann, author of Little Crochet and Crochet Adorned, came to Stash to sign books and show her samples.  We had so much fun meeting her and seeing her talent first hand.  She was here during the second weekend of the Yarn Along the Rockies yarn crawl.  Linda left a great selection of her samples from her two books as well as some new samples from her pattern collection.  If you missed her while she was here, you can still get your crochet inspiration in the next few weeks while the samples, a good mix of accessories, kid's garments and toys, and adult garments, are still at Stash.
