Knitting Easter Eggs

Easter is almost here, and I've been knitting eggs like crazy. I tried this pattern with wool and felted a few too. This is a great way to use up all your left over yarn. Stop by Stash and pick up the pattern.

K*4*O*T* Basket full of hats for our Troops

Stash participated in K*4*O*T* (knitting for our troops) this past weekend. Thank you to all who donated their time and yarn for the hats. We collected 27 in all this weekend, with more to come. This is an all year event, so please keep knitting/crocheting hats to show your support to our men and women in uniform. Stash will collect the hats until the end of the year.

Birdie Sling

Here is Lisa in for a sewing lesson making the Birdie Sling from an Amy Butler Pattern. This was her first sewing project on her new machine she received for Christmas from her husband. I think she may be hooked on sewing.
After an evening of great conversation, a lot of cutting, and some sewing, Lisa finished her Birdie Sling. I love the fabrics she choose. The main fabric is Anna Maria Horner Sketch Book in Rose and the handle is Joel Dewberry Wood Grain in dark green.
This is the bag I finished. I used Anna Maria Horner Sketch Book in Blue and Amy Butler Full Moon Polka Dot in Slate. This is a great bag to sew. You learn quite a lot of techniques in one project. And the finished product is huge, you could carry a small child in it.

I love this yarn by Louet. The variegation reminds me of retro prints. It has the perfect yardage for making a hat with one skein. This yarn has just the right amount of silk blended in it to make it oh so soft to knit and great to wear.

We Moved!

Stash has moved to a bigger space in The Barn. We are still upstairs, but now you can find us on the West side. The space is bigger, which makes for better browsing and more space for classes and clubs. Carol and I are excited about more room. We cannot wait to fill it up with wonderful fibers for knitting and sewing!
