Need a quick knit for a holiday gift? Try the "Welted Fingerless Gloves" from Churchmouse. I love these patterns! They are so well written and the photos by Jared Flood are amazing. I cast on the first of the pair last night and knit one while watching a movie, and just finished the second one tonight. The photo shows the gloves knit in Manos Silk, which I've used to make two pairs and love them, but any DK weight yarn will do. This pattern is a great stash buster or a perfect special yarn project.

This foot stool was salvaged by the very talented Nancy M. Her choice of fabrics are the perfect match. Nancy used Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow fabric. Notice how she used appliqué to make the stool truly unique. Do you like this foot stool? Find more amazing salvaged items at Nancy's shop at The Barn right here in Downtown Castle Rock. I'm sure you will recognize many fabrics she found at Stash.
